Muhammad Aslam was born in Hasilpur, Punjab Pakistan. He completed his early education from there. He obtained his Bachelor in Electronics Engineering and master in Electronics and communication engineering from International Islamic University, Islamabad Pakistan (CGPA 3.96/4) and Kocaeli University, Kocaeli Turkey (CGPA 4.00/4.00), respectively.

His research interests include FPGA based system design, Digital signal processing, Wireless digital communication,WSN, image and video Compression (H.264, HEVC), Computer Architecture, and Embedded system. He has more than one-year work experience in FPGA (Verilog/VHDL), MATLAB, C++, and image and video compression fields. He authored (4) and co-authored (2) six research papers published in well-reputed journals (SCI) and international conferences. Currently, he is a PhD researcher at IDLAB, Ghent University, Belgium.
